Why Join ACSEL
ACSEL runs one of the most active AI programme calendars in Karnataka — accelerator cohorts, national conferences, government roundtables, skilling bootcamps, and a growing content universe of Talks and AIPodcasts. For an early-career marketing professional, this is an unusually rich environment to build a portfolio and sharpen skills.
You will work directly with the Marketing Head, have visibility across all ACSEL initiatives, and see your work reach founders, policymakers, IIT faculty, and AI practitioners. For someone who wants to grow fast in a meaningful space, this is the right room to be in.

Role Overview
ACSEL is looking for a sharp, organised Marketing Communications Executive to support the Marketing Head in bringing the organisation’s voice to life. This is a hands-on execution role — coordinating campaigns, managing content calendars, drafting communications, supporting events, and keeping digital platforms current. The ideal candidate is as comfortable writing a crisp LinkedIn caption as they are tracking a campaign deadline.
With a full programme calendar — Demo Days, ACSEL Talks, AIPodcasts, skilling bootcamps, and national conferences — there is no shortage of content to create and campaigns to run. This role sits at the centre of it all.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign & Communications Execution: ╼╼╼
- Support the Marketing Head in executing marketing and communication initiatives across digital and offline platforms.
- Assist in planning and executing event launches, programme announcements, and outreach campaigns — including Avinya Demo Days, ACSEL Talks, and the flagship annual conference.
- Coordinate with agencies and vendors to ensure timely delivery of communication assets, creative materials, and campaign collateral.
- Track campaign progress, compile performance reports, and maintain documentation for all marketing activities.
2. Content & Social Media Management: ╼╼╼
- Manage content calendars and scheduling for social media channels, newsletters, and digital campaigns — ensuring consistent cadence and on-brand messaging.
- Draft and edit communication materials including social media posts, captions, event invites, emailers, and internal updates.
- Create and schedule content that amplifies ACSEL’s programmes — accelerator cohorts, skilling initiatives, ecosystem events, and thought leadership.
- Monitor social media engagement and flag trends, opportunities, or conversations relevant to the ACSEL community.
3. Digital Platforms & Website: ╼╼╼
- Update website content and digital platforms to reflect current programmes, events, team updates, and announcements.
- Ensure all digital touchpoints — website, social profiles, newsletter — are accurate, current, and consistent in tone and branding.
- Support the creation and distribution of newsletters and email campaigns for ACSEL’s community of startups, mentors, partners, and alumni.
4. Event & Programme Support: ╼╼╼
- Assist in the on-ground and digital communication for ACSEL events — coordinating invites, registrations, post-event content, and documentation.
- Support marketing logistics for the Avinya Accelerator cohort events, including Demo Days and startup showcases.
- Help build and maintain a media and communications archive — photos, write-ups, press mentions, and event recaps.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential: ╼╼╼
- 3–4 years of experience in marketing communications, content creation, or digital marketing.
- Good writing and editing ability — able to draft clear, engaging, and on-brand copy across formats.
- Strong coordination and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter) and basic scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with basic analytics — able to read performance data and compile straightforward reports.
Strongly Preferred: ╼╼╼
- Experience working in a startup, tech organisation, non-profit, or innovation ecosystem — understanding the audience and tone of ACSEL’s world.
- Exposure to email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Zoho Campaigns) or CMS platforms for website updates.
- Experience supporting events or conferences from a communications and marketing standpoint.
- An eye for visual consistency — able to brief designers effectively and review creative assets against brand guidelines.
Personal Attributes: ╼╼╼
- Detail-oriented: catches errors in copy, misses nothing on the content calendar, and ensures nothing goes out half-baked.
- Self-starter: can take a brief and execute independently without needing constant direction.
- Collaborative: works smoothly with the Marketing Head, programme teams, and external agencies without friction.
- Curious about AI, startups, and innovation — genuinely interested in the ecosystem ACSEL is building.
